Sharon Gomez, LGMFT
I am a Marriage and Family Therapist committed to helping individual’s, couple’s, children’s, and family’s journey to healthier relationships and improve the quality of their lives, based on their unique needs. Our worldview on relationships depends on our history with attachments, but it is not the end of our story. I believe it is important to understand that we are part of a system, and our attachments and experiences play a significant role in our sense of safety when we bond with others. I am passionate about helping others gain knowledge and understanding about themselves, how they relate to others, and how stress responses manifest when dealing with conflict, with consideration of one’s stage of human development.
With a foundation in psychology, I take a versatile approach toward learning about the different aspects that may compound and create a sense of overwhelm in our lives. I believe we have the power to make the change we desire by elevating positive behaviors, which influence our lives holistically. I will collaborate with you to create positive pathways when responding to life’s challenges. As a team, we may build a greater sense of living. More importantly, I possess years of background experience in helping others process childhood trauma. I believe self-care is important for self-validation, as well as advocacy for those who need support in other areas of their lives, not just mental health.
I have worked with people from all walks of life, and from different parts of the world. I believe kindness goes a long way! If you are interested in scheduling a consultation with me, please schedule an in-person or virtual appointment by completing the form below or contacting Tracey.
