Paula Moylan, MA, LCPC
Hello and welcome to my practice! I am a trauma informed psychotherapist with over 25-years of experience working with adults recovering from complex trauma that manifests in depression, anxiety, relationship problems, addictions, and more. Together, you and I can facilitate the changes necessary to facilitate healing and improve your quality of life, emotional and physical health, and overall sense of well-being.
By concentrating on the here and now of the client-therapist relationship and incorporating contemporary approaches focused on genuine self-compassion, my clients find that healing from past trauma and hurt takes place. Specifically, I find dynamic approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Emotionally Focused Therapy, and Mindfulness effective ways to cultivate healing and create the life you have desired.
I have been a Licensed Clinical Professional Counselor (LCPC) since 2001, with a Master of Arts Degree in Clinical Psychology from Loyola College of Maryland and an Advanced Graduate Certificate in Counseling Psychology from Johns Hopkins University. I am a Maryland approved supervisor for LGPC’s in training.
In addition, I hold a Certificate in Advanced Trauma Training from the Ferentz Institute of Maryland and Level 1 Training in IFS, a dynamic trauma informed therapy. I am also the proud co-owner of Core Counseling Services!
Though I am an out-of-network provider, I provide superbills to allow you to seek reimbursement from your insurance carrier.
