Shelby Bruggeman, LGPC
Everyone deserves a safe and accepting environment where they can share the unique challenges and difficulties they may face. I offer a nonjudgmental, empathetic, and comfortable space to explore and process your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. I strive to meet my clients where they are in the therapeutic process and support all clients during their exploration and development. I utilize a primarily client-centered with aspects of cognitive, behavioral, mindfulness, and dialectical behavior therapy while tailoring techniques to each client’s individual needs. Together we will work towards identifying and achieving your personal goals while striding towards awareness, healing, and wellness.
I welcome adults of all backgrounds and identities. I have supported clients with a variety of concerns including anxiety, depression, mood and relationship issues, major life transitions, stress management, self-esteem, social/communication skills, and adjusting to new environments or circumstances. I am here to provide you support, collaboration, and a warm welcoming environment. When you feel ready to begin your journey, I welcome you to schedule an initial session to discuss your goals for a more fulfilled life. In addition to providing individual psychotherapy, I also conduct psychological and educational evaluations for a variety of concerns including ADHD, learning disabilities, social and emotional concerns, and bariatric pre-surgical consults.
I have received a Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology-Neuroscience from Slippery Rock University of Pennsylvania, a Master of Arts degree in Applied Clinical Psychology from Pennsylvania State University, and a Post-Master’s Certificate of Advanced Graduate Studies in Counseling from Messiah University.
